Our House

The Accommodation

The 200 year old house originally belonged to a wine grower and is constructed from stone and set on three levels although the ground floor is now entirely garage space.

The first floor consists of an open plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. The dining area has original floor tiles and there is a dining table with seating for 6 and French doors with heavy wooden shutters opening onto a small balcony area which looks out onto the delightful main street. The kitchen area is fully equipped and has a four ring gas cooker with oven and grill, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and there is a small laundry room off with washing machine, iron and ironing board.  There is also a hanging clothes dryer.

The comfortable and colourful lounge area has a three and a two seater sofa plus occasional chair, CD player and radio system. There are windows and French doors from here that lead out onto a large walled terrace at the rear of the house with tables, chairs, parasoles, sunloungers and gas barbeque.

Also on this floor is a study room with day bed, book shelves and occasional chair. This room retains much character with original floor tiles, mantle and hearth and full length French doors, again opening onto a small balcony overlooking the front.  An ideal space for those seeking 'quiet time'.

The first of the three double bedrooms can also be found on this floor with the convenience of an en suite comprising, shower cubicle, pedestal wash hand basin and WC.  Twisting stone steps lead to the second floor and the enormous family bedroom covering the full depth of the house with king-size bed plus double sofa bed again with an en-suite incorporating a luxury shower unit, pedestal wash hand basin and WC.  In addition, this floor has a further double bedroom and a family bathroom comprising bath with overhead shower unit, pedestal wash hand basin and WC.
